Tricks for N64 Zelda Games

Play the Star Spangled Banner on the Ocarina!!!!  LOL!  Bust out the ocarina, and do the following. 

Legend:

^ = push the stick up as you play the note.

v = push the stick down as you play the note.

R = push R as you play the note.

Z = push Z as you play the note.

For example, ^Cup would mean you push Cup while holding up on the stick.

So here we go, the Star Spangled Banner! (this is hard to do perfectly and in time)

My Reply:  Wow!

In Hyrule field, walk past the entrance to Zora's river and follow the river in Hyrule field. You should end at a small lake-like thing. If you step into the water a little bit on the side of the lake that has a wall behind it, Navi will turn green. Play the Song of Storms, and a little pink globe like thing will pop out. You can't catch it in a bottle, but when you walk into it, you'll refill your magic! There's another place where this works. Go into the ice cavern and go to the first room, where the steel trap goes around in a big circle. In the middle, Navi will turn green. Play the Song of Storms, and the little pink thing comes out again! :)

As a child, can you backtrack through the desert (without the help of the ghost), and make it all the way to the Gerudo Fortress?  I have only made it part way, but I think it might be possible if you are VERY careful.

Use Link's COMBAT ARMOR (equip the iron boots, blue tunic, and the giant sword).  

For faster transport just about anywhere, go into Z targeting and jump sideways--Link can really haul some butt--even in his COMBAT ARMOR! (it's fun to hear all the clanks)

Right at the entrance to the bridge to Gannondorf's fort, use the side-hopping technique to jump up the mountain to the right... you come to a little perch with a big skull on it (just looks eerie to me lol).
